Jim and Joyce throw amazing parties including the creative and fun birthdays they throw for their adorable children, which is why we were so happy to plan Joyce’s birthday cocktail party. The jeweled tone colors were found throughout the event, from the linens and the backdrop to the peacock floral arrangements that Joyce had in mind. Guests partied late into the night, enjoying the delicious food stations, the fully stocked bar and fun karaoke!

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!  This past weekend we put together the Sweet Bridal Shower for Kathy and Bill.  Since the shower was going to be the weekend before Valentine’s Day, we decided to work with pinks and CANDY-perfect for this time of year! Kathy looked spectacular in her beautiful lace dress and amazingly fun sparkly heels! We hear everyone enjoyed ALL the candy and the happy couple had a wonderful celebration filled with friends, family and gifts. To see the whole album click here

We are so looking forward to this weekends Sweet Bridal Shower…there will be lots of pink and lots of CANDY-perfect for this time of year: ) We picked up all the gorgeous pink florals this morning and started to work on all the small (but important) details!  We have loved working with the bride-to-be, her sister and their mom from the moment we met and even had the opportunity to create custom invites for them to kick off this fun shower.  We don’t want to giveaway any of the sweet offerings that will be present at the event so we will recap everything on Monday.  Have a great weekend everyone and if you are in the Chicago-land area be careful out there it is definitely winter today!

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, we wanted to share some beautiful red arrangements with all of you.  We did the floral designs for this bridal shower event but these arrangements could easily work for any romantic gathering.

ps.excuse the sugar/salt/pepper moment in the bottom photo(*must remember to remove these items before capturing the arrangements!)

Happy Wedding Wednesday!/limanidesigns  everyone!!  Here is a sneak peek at Anli and Ji’s Wedding we did this past October.  We can’t wait to get our hands on all the images to share the pretty details xoxo

This past weekend marked the fifth year that my mom and I worked on our first event together.  We were not a company then or even thought of ourselves as event planners/designers but as Angie (aka Mom) was putting together the simple, yet pretty, floral arrangements a women at the location told her that she had a gift.  At the time we both just smiled and thought nothing of it other than a very sweet compliment.  We would have never thought that one day we would be lucky enough to work on so many wonderful events!  As all the pieces of that event fell together perfectly, I realized that no party or event should be the same.  Yes, the flowers used from event to event may be the same but how they are put together and all the small details that are unique to that particular event are what make it special.  My favorite part of the above event was the three golden trees with green leaves hanging for the escort table (thanks to our good friends Brian and Esther-those tiny little leaves were traced, cut out and ribbon looped through them).  I loved that we gave the traditional escort table a three dimensional look!  As we continue to grow and try new things, we look forward to sharing with you all our upcoming events that make us giddy and super excited.
